https://refugeechildrencenter.org/ The Refugee Children’s Center (RCC) is in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley. Each year, RCC helps hundreds of migrant children seeking asylum in the United States. It is a welcoming place for these newcomers. Through their work and partnerships with other community organizations, RCC provides the basic needs and services required for the newcomers to survive and thrive, including legal assistance, clothing, food, school supplies and help in finding financial assistance and medical care. RCC connects these children and their families to others who had similar experiences and found a way successfully to find refuge in the United States. The following is a link to a book written by a UCLA class about the plight of migrant children: https://escholarship.org/uc/item/7568z540 Here are just a few pictures to show their work.
